Procedure
If you are interested in being
placed on our waiting list for an Australian Labradoodle puppy, please
fill
out our application.
Please call and talk to us as I do like to get to know your
family a little bit. Email works too, but it's nice to be able to
talk! Once your puppy form is approved, you will need to send a
non-refundable deposit of $500 in order to be placed on our wait list. The deposit of $500 is deducted
from the purchase price.
Once
your deposit is received, you will be placed on a waiting list for the
next litter that is likely to be a match for your 'wish list". I will
contact you once the puppies are born and
generally post photos every week or two on the website. If there is not
a
labradoodle puppy for you in that litter, you will be contacted and
your deposit moves to next
available litter. Deposits may be kept on file with us for
2 years
from the date we received it. You may also request your
deposit to be moved to a subsequent litter if the timing of the current
suitable litter is not good for your family.
Full payment for the puppy is due when the puppy is 6 weeks
old. By 7 weeks, puppies are matched up with their families
based
on
preferences communicated on your application, emails exchanged, phone
conversations and Copper Canyons' observations. We want the
best
fit for our puppies and your
family and so we reserve the right to refuse placement of a puppy if we
feel it is not a good fit for either the family or the puppy.
Although rare, we also reserve the right to refund deposits if we
are not comfortable placing a puppy with your family.
Occasionally, Copper Canyon may wish to retain a special puppy or two
for breeding and so it may be that not all puppies in a litter are
available as pets. At 8 weeks, puppies are neutered or spayed
and microchipped.
Puppies are ready to go to their forever homes at 8 1/2 to
11
weeks (at Copper Canyon's discretion), after a check up at our
veterinarians office
and veterinarian health certificate, if flying.
You
are welcome to call and ask us questions about the breed, puppy
raising, about our breeding program and about how we select puppies for
our families. VIsits are welcome, as long as you do NOT visit
other
doggie areas or breeders prior to coming and we do require that you
wipe the bottoms of your shoes with a bleach rag BEFORE you come onto
our property. We love to visit with people and to "show off"
our dogs,
but we want to minimize any risk of parvo being brought to our home.
Shipping is not included in our
prices,
as many of our puppy families are able to pick up their puppy from our
home. Please visit our Shipping page for
more information about flying your puppy home. Included in shipping cost is
transportation to and from the airport, vet certified health certificate,
airline approved crate (that they will have begun their crate training
in) and food, water and fleece blanket.
